I’ve decided to speak my truth and it turns out that a blog is a good way to do this.
I will be focusing on self-love and self-awareness which ultimately leads to personal development.
I believe that we should use the power of our thoughts and voices to speak out when it’s necessary without the fear of being torn down for doing so. How we choose to use our voices is what matters.
Observation is key!
All of life’s experiences, both good and bad have turned me into the person I’ve become today: standing up for what I believe in, even if it means standing alone.
I’ve realized that actions speak louder than words. Although words are powerful and hold meaning, it is up to us to also observe the actions of people.
Do their words contradict their actions? Reaching a level of awareness allows us to see things for what they are instead of believing everything we see or hear.
As I post more about my experiences and ways to deal with life’s situations, you will get to know me better. Some will resonate with me and others will hate me but I will always be true to my beliefs. It’s all about having an open mind.
Social media created our hunger…only to control what we’re being fed
It’s only human nature to want a sense of belonging or need for social interaction, BUT what is the price that we are willing to pay for this sense of belonging?
Has social media made us so hungry for attention that we are willing to do almost anything for outside validation?
Are we measuring our self-worth by the number of followers and likes? I found that if I ground myself well enough, my expectations and external validation become non-existent.
Validate yourself
I’ve noticed that many people, myself included, will accept breadcrumbs from others for a sense of validation.
What I didn’t understand for a long time was why I took the things that people did to me personally.
Over the years, I found that we need to embrace who we are as individuals. Every person has unique strengths and weaknesses. These weaknesses don’t make us less human.
I am also learning to let things go because over time, deadweight becomes too heavy to carry.
I decided that I will no longer accept less than I deserve, and hopefully, you have or will realize this too.
Is self-love and awareness that important?
One of my main goals is to help myself and others understand why self-love and awareness are so important.
If we become aware of who we are and love ourselves enough, it will lead to greater things and a sense of fulfillment that fills our souls.
It’s time to take our POWER back
As I mentioned in my About Page, I am not about changing the world, but if one person supports another person to help themselves, we can start taking our power back.
The fact that you’re here and reading this article means that you are already on a level that so many people don’t even know exists.
Financial independence is not everything, we must also learn how to control our emotions, thoughts and actions which will help us discover the best versions of ourselves.
If money makes you happy, you will spend the rest of your life chasing ‘happiness’. Money should be seen as a means to an end and not the end itself.
If you are still reading, I want to take a second to thank you for visiting my blog and remind you that the only limits we create for ourselves are the ones in our minds.
